A Saturday at the Draz House

Today was an example of why I am changing from Drew's website to a blog. It was a typical Saturday with a few cute pictures. Nothing significant, not enough pictures for an album, just a normal day that friends and relatives might enjoy perusing without having to navigate through a website.

The boys had an outing to the library (outside only--we are still avoiding public contact while we wait to see whether swine flu comes to our area).

In what was probably the biggest event of the day, Karli had her very first taste of solid food. Yes, she was offered--and even consumed a bit of rice cereal. As is usually the case, more ended up on her bib than in her tummy, but she did seem interested in the event.

Drew's dad and papa were doing a bit of landscaping. This included having a load of black dirt delivered and borrowing a bobcat. (Bobcats happen to be one of Ryan's very favorite vehicles!) Drew, who prefers living creatures, spend the morning playing with earthworms that papa found in the load of dirt. Drew used an egg cart0n, placing a single worm in each section. Drew explained that he was putting the worms in their condos at a resort.

Quote of the day: Drew was playing with a dinosaur that had a rock in its mouth. He decided that it should be called "rockmouthosaurus."

Adding Images

Today I decided to try adding an image. This is one of my current favorites: Drew and his baby sister, Karli. I had originally intended replacing Drew's current website with a blog in the fall when he started kindergarten. However, if I can figure out adding images and, perhaps videos (uTube?), perhaps I'll begin sooner. I have some great pictures from today and a short post--not worthy of an addition to the website, but perfect for a short blog post.
